Do u getting SoWar Browser instead of Internet Explorer at the Title?

Then your computer is infected by sowar.vbs virus.
Which spreads through USB Pen Drives.
When it is infected in our system it creates the following files in C:\Windows Directory...
1.Cool USEP Scandal.vbs
2.Sowar.vbs
3.SysRes.vbs

Including it creates an Aurorun.inf file in every pen drive which is connected to your system.Then it starts infecting.
The another Property of this virus is...It changes the Internet Explorer browser to SoWar Browser

How to Remove:-

1.Goto cmd prompt by typing cmd in Run box
2.type CD\ at the command prompt and press enter
3.Now type attrib -s -h -r -a autorun.inf command.
4.Using del autorun.inf command delete all autorun.inf files.
5.That autorun.inf file will be created in all drives.So do the 3 and 4 steps for all the drives D,E,F,....
6.Now leave the command prompt like that.Don't close it.Now search Sowar.vbs, USEP Scandal.vbs, SysRes.vbs files and remember the folders they saved.
7.Using attrib sowar.vbs. * -s -h -r -a command and by pressing enter and then typing del sowar.vbs command you have to remove the file sowar.vbs.
8.Now type the same commands to delete other files by replacing the filenames.
9.Now Restart the computer.

Changing the title name of Internet Explorer from Sowar Browser to Internet Explorer:-


1.Go to Start->Run and type regedit.
2.Then you will get Registry Editor.
3.Now go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
4.On right side you will see a Window Title named Sowar Browser.It is a string value.Double click on that string value and replace the name Sowar Browser with Microsoft Internet Explorer

Then your IE will be set right.
